Kim Joon (born Kim Hyung Joon on February 3, 1984 in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea), is a South Korean rapper, actor, and model who rose to stardom with his portrayal of Song Woo Bin, one of the famous F4 in KBS2's 2009 hit drama Boys Over Flowers.

Career

Prior to his F4 fame, Kim Joon was already known as a member of K-pop group T-Max,[1] who first debuted in 2007. He is both a rapper and a songwriter for the group. Their song entitled "Paradise" was featured in the first edition of the Boys Over Flowers' soundtrack. Other songs of T-Max that were featured in the subsequent editions of the Boys Over Flowers' Original Soundtrack were "Say Yes," "Wish You're My Love","Fight The Bad Feeling," and "Bang Bang Boom." Kim Joon also had a single in the soundtrack entitled "To Empty Out" with Kim Jo Han. He also had his solo song "Jun Be O.K.", written by himself, with Kim Hyun Joong doing a cameo appearance in the music video of the song.

After Kim Joon's stardom, T-MAX took part of many OST's for various dramas and movies. From April 2009 to December 2010, Kim Joon was a permanent cast of “Invincible Baseball Team”,[2] a KBS 2TV program which aired during Saturday Challenges and was chosen as MVP for several weeks. Thanks to “Invincible Baseball Team” Joon cultivated friendships with some of Korea's top celebrities among them his idol, DJ DOC. On June 2009, he took part on the Mnet variety show "Mnet Scandal", a show where a celebrity will go out with a non-celebrity for a week. In the end, Joon decided to not keep dating his partner. Aside from being a guest on several variety shows, in July 2009, he took on a theatrical role in the musical Youthful March (젊음의 행진). On November 26, 2009 he tested positive for H1N1; he made a speedy recovery his agency, but was forced to cancel a 2D1N trip to the Philippines for a fan-meeting on the 30th.

Kim Joon starred in a mobile drama along side Nao Minamisawa titled Pygmalion’s Love,[3] a joint Korea-Japan production broadcast on Japanese Mobile TV station BeeTV, which reached #1 mobile drama in Japan and was shown on March 2010. On May 2010, T-MAX had their comeback stage with "Don’t Be Rude" which was also quite popular as a song for the World Cup. "Don’t Be Rude" was the first single from their studio album "Born To The Max". "Words That I Can Say" was the song they promoted as a follow up single, with Korean actors Oh Ji Ho, Yoon So Yi, and Kim Joon himself starring in the music video of the song.[4]

He is currently starring in the new KBS2's drama “Homicide Division” where he plays detective ‘Shin Dongjin,’ who specializes in cyber-investigations, but has trouble dealing with real-life cases because of his fear of corpses. Upon the sight of one, he’ll habitually faint, much to the criticisms of those he works with, but one of his biggest charms is his ability to make others laugh, even in serious situations.

Starting March 2011, Kim Joon began studying to earn his master’s degree on Global Culture Content at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. A representative of his agency commented, “Kim Joon has taken an interest in spreading Korean culture after he was able to meet with various international fans and after being named as an honorary ambassador of Global Tourism Etiquette. He wants to study the production of Hallyu culture content and its spread on a deeper level.”

His group, T-Max, is currently preparing for their comeback album and entrance to the Japanese market, set for the first half of 2011. On May 16, Kim Joon appeared on ’1 vs. 100′ in KBS2 to raise funds for the establishment of an ‘invincible baseball’ team. The other members of T-Max also has appeared. He made it to the final 2, but in the end failed. He showed off his knowledge of sports, literature, and other fields in the competition.

Early life

Wooyoung was born in Busan and has an older sister. He attended Seoul School for the Arts with a dance major.

He first debuted as an actor in the 2011 KBS drama series Dream High playing the role of Jason, a Korean-American. The Drama premiered on January 3, 2011. The Drama made him famous for his English line, "Is it my turn already?".

After concluding his drama debuts through KBS‘s “Dream High“, Wooyoung expressed that he will continue to pursue their passion for acting in conjunction with their singing careers. A representative of JYP Entertainment spoke with OSEN and revealed, “We’re planning to continue Wooyoung’s acting career when he receives another great project. He was worried before ‘Dream High’ began filming, and often wondered whether he’d be able to act, but we believe that he’s gained a lot of confidence since then. He’s gotten very interested in the acting field, so we plan to continue his acting career, along with fellow member Taecyeon‘s.”[2]

On August, 2011 it was announced that Wooyoung and miss A‘s Bae Suzy were going to make a cameo appearances in the new KBS Drama Special, ‘Human Casino‘. The pilot episode aired on September 18th, and the two idol stars were playing the role of a couple caught up in gambling scandals. The two are good friends with the PD of ‘Human Casino’, who also produced the KBS 2TV series ‘High Kick‘. Their scenes weren't a part of the actual drama, but rather be featured towards the end with the rolling credits. Kim PD stated, “I told these two that I was starting a new project and they told me they wanted to visit, so I thought of giving them a small cameo role.” ‘Human Casino’ is the story of an engaged woman who is reportedly found missing, and her fiance believes she has been kidnapped. He later finds out she is caught up in a risky situation with gamblers that use human lives as their stakes.

Dancing

Wooyoung trained Kim Gyuri for her performance on MBC's "Dancing With the Stars" aired on July 8th, 2011. Netizens praised his talents as a dancer for having the chance to teach others about it. [4]

For 2PM's tours in 2011 (Hands Up Asia Tour and Republic of 2PM), Junho and Wooyoung performed together a song that Junho wrote, while Wooyoung choreographed and designed their outfits.

Wooyoung stands 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m)[1] and weighs 65 kg (140 lb; 10.2 st).[1] He speaks Korean, Japanese and has a sufficient understanding of the English language.[citation needed] His hobbies include surfing the web and listening to music. He once stated there are "exactly 3 things that (he) likes: music, association football and interior (design)." When asked why he didn't include dancing, he replied, "it is also included in music .. and football." He enjoys dancing and singing. His well known nicknames are 'AngAng', 'Mandu Cheeks' and 'Ssanti Wooyoung.' Since 2009, he has attended Howon University, majoring in broadcasting.[7]

On the special episode of KBS Win Win (Seung Seung Jang Gu) with 2PM as guests, Wooyoung revealed that his father had been against his dreams. As fans know, Wooyoung’s always had a dream of becoming a singer; however, his father initially opposed it because he wanted his son to have an easier, normal life. However, Wooyoung did not give up on his dream, like his father had hoped, and persistantly attended dance practices. Even while taking dance lessons and pursuing his dream, Wooyoung did not give up on studying and studied as hard as he danced in order to receive his father’s acknowledgement. In order to receive his father’s approval, Wooyoung wrote three letters a month for two years, and his father eventually gave in. Now, ever since he became a singer, his father has become the one sending him letters of encouragement.

Yogyakarta, Study Tour 16th December 2009

Wednesday December 16, 2009, me and my school friends went to Yogyakarta for a study tour. We gathered at the campus UIN 5.30am. at our school, it was 9th grade 8 class. Number of 9th grade junior high school students was 303 people. we were on the bus 6, in accordance with our 96 classes. 96th grade students have 39 people. unfortunately, not all 96th grade students come to Yogyakarta. there are 2 people who did not join that, Ilham and Audy. On the trip, we were singing and joking-joking. 12:00 hours, we stopped for isoma (rest, prayer, food) in restaurants Kalijaga, Cirebon. after that, we continued on until 17:00 o'clock, we stopped at one gas station in Kebumen. we had only wanted to use the toilet, but because the journey is still long, we decided to tutor untu eat and wait for maghrib prayers. while waiting for food to come, we sing together. (technically not our students who sing, but our teachers are singing). After dinner and Maghrib prayers, we continue the journey to Yogyakarta. at 09.00 that night, we had arrived in Yogyakarta. takes 1 hour journey to the hotel. Around 22:00 hours the night we arrived at the hotel. off the bus, our group leader took the key from the hotel room of our tutor. in the room, we took turns bathing. after a bath, we feel hungry. and finally, I, destriana, and iin foraging outside the hotel. fortunately, in front of the hotel there is a sale of chicken satay. we returned to the room and ate together. after dinner, we talked. 3 people were asleep namely, iin, cempaka, and rizki. the rest, I, destriana, diliana, riftha, Virna, and Danti was joking-joking. 02.00 o'clock in the morning, we slept and woke up at 05.00 am. Our alternately bathe and get ready. after everything is ready, we had breakfast together with teachers and other groups. Then, we went into their respective buses. We visited the park smart, palaces, and precision passes. 17:00 o'clock in the afternoon, we returned to the hotel. Our bath. after showering, we went to Malioboro and buy souvenirs. . then back to the hotel. 20:00 at night, we all gathered at the cafe for singing along. 20:30 at night, we went to the room and sleep. at 05.00 in the morning we woke up, showered and prayers. ago, we were packed. after everything is ready, our room key and put the luggage / bags we went to the bus, after that we ate in the morning. after eating, we continued on to Kasongan, Borobudur Temple. after that, we went back to Jakarta at 13:00. Along the way, we were singing and joking, joking as usual. we arrived in Jakarta at 02.00 in the morning. me and some friends, staying in school until the morning. My experience and my friends to Yogyakarta will never be forgotten.

Togetherness with Dixdeux (x2)

Dixdeux sangat berarti buat gua. Banyak hal baru yang gua dapetin dari mereka. Banyak hal yang membuat gua menjadi tau apa yang "YA" atau "Tidak". Bukan hanya pelajaran aja yang gua dapetin, hal baru yang gua maksud tadi itu adalah "persahabatan" dan itu baru gua dapetin setelah gua masuk di kelas x2 yaitu, Dixdeux. Oke langsung aja kali, ya. Dixdeux dari sudut pandang gua..
pertama kalinya gua jalan bareng sama temen sekelas di SMA itu bulan Maret setelah ultah gua & UTS selesai. Temen-temen terdekat dengan gua adalah Alviana, Febriyanto, Dean, Geraldy, Iin, Hafiza, Sayidatu, Maysarah, Yolanda. tapi yang paling banget-bangetan deket itu dean, febri, alvi, geraldy, fiza, iin.

* Sabtu, 12 Maret 2011, pertama kalinya gua jalan bareng sama Dixdeux ke binplaz. waktu itu gua makan-makan di PH bareng Febriyanto, Alviana, Geraldy, Rosmalia, Sito, Farhan, iin dan itu pertama kalinya gua fotobox bareng mereka. haha maaf ya agak norak. ya namanya juga sudut pandang gua -_- nah ini dia fotonya :D

Dixdeux (Sepuluh Dua) Part 1

Mau tau enggak "Dixdeux" itu berasal dari bahasa dan artinya apa ? oke.. Dixdeux itu berasal dari bahasa Jerman yang artinya Sepuluh Dua. waktu itu gua dkk buat nama kelas di depan kelas X bilingual. kalo enggak salah pas pelajaran biologi. Awalnya Alvi yang nyaranin nama kelas x2 dari bahasa Jerman. yasudah, akhirnya kita semua sepakat dan sampe sekarang nama itu masih jadi kebanggaan bagi gua dkk :D

Okay Here We Go..
Dixdeux itu adalah kelas yang paling solid bangettt. Tapi ada satu orang yang PALING gua BENCI, dia itu FAIZAL MIFTAH NURHAFIDIN. Awalnya sih gua biasa aja sama dia. tapi makin ke sini-sini, dia sering banget jailin gua, ngelempar kertas, lempar pulpen, nendang kursi, dll deh. itu yang gua benci dari dia. Bercandanya udah keterlaluan banget bangetann. Tapi, sebenernya dia baik ko.
Well, selebihnya gpp dan gua sangat senang bisa menjadi "bagian" dari Dixdeux (X2). seperti yang udah di sampein alvi melalui blog nya, Dixdeux itu..

Kenapa gua bilang Dixdeux itu solid, setiap ada temennya yang ulang tahun, pasti di kasih surprise. nih ya yang gua inget aja. di mulai dari awal tahun 2011. mari kita lewati bulan Januari. karena ultah anak Dixdeux dimulai dari bulan Februari.

kita sama sekali ga bisa buat surprise. secara logika, dia udah tau duluan mau kita kerjain -_-

* Selasa, 8 Februari adalah ultahnya Febriyanto atau suka dipanggil Ebi "Udang"
nah kalo dia ini di kerjain sama bu Astuti guru Kimia. jadi waktu itu, dia disuruh maju ke depan kelas ngerjain soal yang menurut gua susah. bener-bener dimarahin sama bu Astuti. gua dan yang lain udah nahan ketawa banget. terus pelajarannya selanjutnya adalah pas pelajaran agama, Ibu Husna. jadi, buku paket agamanya dia di umpetin sama dori. terus di tanya sama bu husna mana bukunya. pokoknya gitu deh. sampe di tanya-tanya soal orangtua nya, terus nangis. --V :p Habis itu kita semua teriak "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" :D

* Senin, 7 Maret adalah ultahnya Guaaa ahahah -_-
ngenes banget ulang tahun bersamaan sama UTS. ga berkesan banget. ha-ha #jleb #ngenes
tapi pas dirumah gua di kasih surprise sama adik-adik tersayang..



* Senin, 28 Maret adalah ultahnya Alviana Aslama Anantia.
awalnya gua punya ide mau buat surprise buat dia. karena kurangnya dana dan sebagainya, akhirnya gua ngajak anak -anak patungan buat beli kue dan telor+tepung buat surprise dia. masing-maasing patungan 10rb/orang. yaudah pas pulang sekolah, iin nganterin alvi ambil autobiografi di deket ONE, terus ngendarain motornya di lambatin. mevi sama rosmalia beli telor dan tepung. Yang lain pada jaga-jaga di setu. takut-takut alvi udah pulang. Gua sama Febriyanto ambil kue di BP. nah yang ngeselinnya pas pulang dari BP nya itu macet abis. si febri sampe ngebut bawa motornya. terus waktu sampe di setu, gua dkk ngumpul. yang lucunya Fiza malah kebelet pipis. untungnya ibunya alvi udah tau kalo Alvi mau di kasih surprise. jadi waktu alvi lagi shalat di kamar, fiza ngibrit ke kamar mandi. terus kita cepet-cepet deh bawa kuenya ke dalem rumah. awalnya, alvi taunya cuma ada fiza sama iin aja. gua dkk udah takut aja ketauan. habis, sepatu banyak gitu di depan pager. eh untungnya dia ga nyadar sama sekali pun dan waktu dia ke ruang tamu kita semua langsung bilang "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"

Terus kita speak-speak mau foto gidu deh di depan danau. Yang paling brutal emang Dean. pas lagi foto-foto, Dean langsung ceplokin telor, febri dkk numpahin tepung ke kepalanya alvi.

Rabu, 30 Maret adalah ultahnya Iin Ambarsari.
kita minta tolong Bu Anni, Guru Bahasa Indonesia buat ngerjain dia. Jaid, bu Anni kesel sama Iin nilai ulangannya jelek. bener-bener dimarahin abis-abisan sama bu Anni. sampe-sampe bu Anni nyuruh iin ke BK menghadap ke pak Dwi. terus nelfon Ibunya sambil nangis-nangis. waktu iin lagi ke BK, gua langsung ambil Vienetta yang gua titipin di Bunda. terus kita siap-siap deh di kelas. waktu iin masuk ke kelas semuanya heboh sambil nyanyi Happy Birthday




dan yang bodohnya, gua dkk malah di kerjain balik sama si iin. dia malah pura-pura pingsan -___-"

Bulan Mei

* Kamis, 12 Mei adalah utlahnya Mevi Renanda P.
yang satu ini nih juga susah di kerjain. secara dia udah tau duluan -_-

* Sabtu, 14 Mei adalah ultahnya May sarah.
kalo pas ultahnya mae itu bersamaan dengan Farewell party nya GUERRIER 2011. Jadi, cuma sekedar bilang happy birthday ajadeh u,u

Bulan Juni

* Selasa, 21 Juni adalah ultahnya Juni Erita.
kalo ini pas banget waktu liburan kenaikan. jadinya gabisa di kasih surprise.

eh besoknya gua ke dufan sama Febriyanto, Alviana, Dean, Geraldy. ehehehe

Bulan July

* Jumat, 8 July adalah ultahnya Muhammad Dean Rizky
nah kalo yan satu itu ini emang temen yang bener-bener baik sama gua. waktu pulang sekolah, dia di ceburin ke danau VCR :D

* Minggu, 10 July adalah ultahnya Nur Hafiza
panggilannya "Idung" "Arab" sayang banget pas ultahnya dia, gua gabisa ngasih surprise. maaf ya...

* Rabu, 20 July adalah ultahnya Ugro seno & Sayidatu syarifah :D

Bulan September

* Rabu, 14 September adalah hari ultahnya Deadora R.M
ultahnya baru aja lewat. Dixdeux buat surprise. gua beli vienetta (seperti biasa) yang lain nyumbang uang dan idenya. yang paling sadis mah fiza. marah-marah ke dea sampe nangis. ahaha tapi sukses ko (y)

Bulan Oktober

* Senin, 24 Oktober adalah ultahnya Cyessa savitri
bulan depan nih ultahnya. siap-siap yaaa :p

Bulan November

* Rabu, 30 November adalah ultahnya Geraldy Nivrianno atau suka di panggil "anak kecil"
Sebulan lagi nih. wah siap-siap ya, geraldy :p

Tiada henti aku menyukaimu. mungkin kau tidak tau, kapan dan bagaimana bisa aku menyukaimu. Kini waktu yang berlalu itu, hanya terbuang begitu saja tanpa ada hasil. Mungkin dulu kau tidak menyadari dia yang ada di dekatmu. sesungguhnya dia itu adalah aku. kau terlalu jauh mencari. tidak pernah melihat diriku yang selalu ada di dekatmu. mungkin saatnya aku melupakanmu setelah 1 tahun lamanya aku menukaimu. Tidak ada gunanya lagi. semakinku memikirkanmu, semakinku sakit. sekarang, saatnyalah aku melihat orang lain. seseorang yang bisa membuatku tertawa setiap hari, bukannya membuatku sakit karena selalu menunggumu. bagiku sudah cukup kau hanya menjadi teman dekatku. terima kasih selama ini sudah membuat hari-hariku bahagia @ terima kasih kau sudah baik padaku. takkan pernah lupa masamasa yang pernahku lewati denganmu sebagai teman dekatmu. :) *260295

Bersama Sepuluh Dua

waktu cepat sekali beralu. Sudah 1 stengah semester saya bersama X.2 di SMAN 4 TANGSEL. Banyak kejadian-kejadian yang sangat menyenangkan bersama mereka.
